Name and title given to a woman who has given birth to twins (see Méŋ lefāk/Mú Nyĕ), which is bestowed on her as soon as they are born. Mankhū have a certain symbolic and spiritual importance, as the birth of twins is considered rare. In Baleng, there is a Mankhū organization. Mankhū are the main players in ceremonies for twins, as they lead the rite. They are also known as Magni or Mekhù, depending on the language area in which they are found.
