Diaspora signifies a group of people who move from their country of origin to another, often staying close to the culture of the former though they integrate into the latter. The celebration of national holidays and ceremonies observed in their country of origin creates community bonds in the new country, and allows those in the diaspora to remain in contact with their culture, share memories, and preserve customs and language.
