Dr. Hui Fang is an art historian specializing in East Asian art. She received her PhD from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. Her dissertation examined pictorial production in Nanjing, the first capital of the Ming dynasty, through trans-dynastic, trans-cultural, and trans-regional perspectives. She was a Marica and Jan Vilcek Fellow at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and an associate researcher at Harvard University’s CAMLab. Having recently relocated to France, she is exploring new ways to engage with her host society through her scholarly expertise and broad intellectual interests, particularly in the fields of cultural heritage, museums, and cross-cultural exchange.
